About Dr. Julie

I knew from a young age that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives through health care. In high school, I became aware of the benefits of Chiropractic care while hearing about the incredible results my grandmother was getting from being treated by a Chiropractor. Although my grandmother was not in the medical industry, she had a holistic mind-set and educated herself on alternative therapies. My grandmother and I spent a lot of time together through my high school and college years and the more that she discussed alternative therapies with me, the more intrigued I became. After heading to college, I began suffering from migraines. I remembered my grandmother's experience and sought out a Chiropractor, who was able to significantly reduce the severity and frequency of my migraines. This experience solidified my decision, and ultimately led me to pursue a career in Chiropractic.

I grew up in northeastern Ohio and attended The Ohio State University for my undergraduate education. Afterwards, I moved to St. Louis to attend Logan University (College of Chiropractic). After graduating from Logan, I practiced for about a year in southern California before returning to the Midwest.

During my time at Logan, I attended additional classes through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to become more proficient in providing chiropractic care for children and pregnant women. Through the ICPA, I became certified in the Webster Technique, which works on balancing the pregnant mother's pelvis and uterine ligaments to allow for a more comfortable pregnancy - and room for baby!

Because I believe that proper nutrition is a key component to healing and overall better health, I pursued my Masters in Nutrition and Human Performance at Logan. As an additional service to my patients, I also offer nutritional counseling services at my office.

Outside of practice, I enjoy teaching part-time at Logan, spending time with my husband and 3 kids, visiting extended family, and CrossFitting.
